White Feathers were symbols of cowardice given by British women to shame men who hadn’t enlisted during the First World War.

Today’s White Feather Campaign is the first phase of a larger mission: to restore the values of the Republican Party and the balance of the two-party system.

Participants of all political persuasions send Feather Certificates to Republican politicians who lack the courage to stand up to Donald Trump.

The Campaign was founded and funded by Marine veteran Peter Timms who approached Veterans For Responsible Leadership (VFRL)_to assist identifying independents and individuals of both parties willing to send feathered certificates to their Republican Senators and Representatives.

As of June 2025, more than 200 feathers have been sent to Republican Senators and Representatives in over 30 states; as well as Cabinet members, White House staff, Supreme Court Justices and other Republican government officials .

THE FULL MEANING OF THE FEATHER

The symbolism of the Feather is not entirely negative. Just as many of the original awardees went on to serve their Country honorably, and often valiantly, today’s Feather embodies the opportunity for clear, positive change.

“The notion so many bright, able high achievers must toady to someone so empty as Donald Trump cannot make them feel good about themselves,” says Campaign Founder, Peter Timms. “He was a coward during the sixties and is a bully today. His first Secretary of State called him a moron.”

“Compared to a Warren Buffet, or a Bill Gates, he’s a second-tier loan-defaulter who paid 27 million dollars to settle two fraud indictments, and 130 thousand dollars hush money to a porn star. He makes thoughtful Americans squirm.”

The feather says “This is the opportunity to stand up to him.” Openly, Publicly, Forcefully - a chance for Republicans to regain their character, becoming again the party of free trade, small government, and human dignity, and for America to become again the Free World’s proud, responsible leader and defender.
